In a world that never stops talking, true luxury is the space to think. This was the core philosophy behind our recent video for Wadham College, Oxford, to launch their second year for their executive initiative: The Wadham Experience.
We are thrilled to share the story behind the video we created for this residential intellectual retreat, a project that challenged us to film not just a location, but a feeling.
The Brief: Beyond the boardroom
They didn’t just need a video explaining a curriculum or showing off a lecture hall. They needed a film that captured a "personal renaissance."
The Wadham Experience is an invitation for global leaders to step out of the boardroom and into the unique intellectual bustle of Oxford life. Our goal was to translate the abstract promise of critical thought into something visceral, desirable, and distinct.
Our approach
How do you film "thinking clearly"?
We decided to build the narrative around the program's most valuable asset: Atmosphere.
Instead of filling the frame with noise and fast cuts, over 3 days we leaned into the intangible magic of the college. We focused on the weight of history in the architecture, the serenity of the private gardens, and the clarity that comes from disconnecting.
The visual language was designed to be an antidote to the "cacophonous world" the course seeks to address. We wanted the viewer to feel the transformation before they had even packed their bags.
We leant into the 'Chef's Table' style of editing, clean, premium and classical whilst keeping a modern refreshing approach.
The result
The final film serves as the digital "front door" to the Wadham Experience. It stands as a visual invitation to their core themes for 2026: Thinking Clearly and Thinking Critically.
By prioritizing mood and atmosphere over a heavy-handed sales pitch, we helped establish this program not just as an education course, but as a necessary retreat for the modern leader.
